Brenda Reavis (she/her) is an experienced licensed clinical social worker in the field of higher education mental health and community wellness. She has a strong track record of establishing solid relationships with clients, coworkers, administration, and local agencies. Her work includes providing counseling, crisis counseling, advocacy, liaison services, and consultation to a diverse population of clients and community organizations. Brenda is the founder and managing director of Orange Tree Counseling and Consulting, LLC - a telehealth therapy private practice using holistic and evidence-based modalities to create meaningful change in the lives of college students, folks who identify as BIPOC, and the LGBTQIA+ community.

 

Brenda is a firm believer in centering healing over treatment and works with clients and organizations in ways that lift up their experience at their pace while empowering them to explore and ultimately break free from patterns that cause suffering. Her passion for social justice and advocacy means the work she does is mindful of how systems of oppression impact wellbeing. She is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and anti-oppressive. Her therapeutic style prioritizes building awareness, highlighting resilience and strength, and practicing methods of connection with self and others to create balance and meaning. Some of her specialties include working with race-related stress and trauma, relationship concerns, building self-esteem, and healing from childhood trauma.

At the Reveille Vittetoe Foundation, Brenda oversees program implementations and leads the organization in promoting mental health awareness, education, and resources within and broader community through outreach efforts.
